It looks like she had a pretty rough day, right? Actually, I think she had a great day. Her dad was in charge. How can you tell? Well for starters, look at her outfit. She's definitely dressed for comfort and no thought whatsoever has been put into making the pants match the shirt. (I blame myself for this, because I forgot to lay out an outfit for her.) Secondly, her hair--What can I say? At least daddy tries. We've had several discussions about the "pig tail" thing. Rob likes to put them on the side of her head, which makes her look like a puppy dog, while I prefer them more on the top. (My way looks much better, I promise.) And last but not least, check out the neck of the shirt; Food, drool, whatever she found around the house to snack on is on that shirt. (can't blame him all for this one, I don't always put bibs on her either.)
On the other hand, when I pick her up from Ga-Ga's (aka Marianne) on Mondays and Fridays, she comes home looking more like this...
Notice the cute outfit (often a new hand-me-down from Lily) along with the perfectly round-brushed hair (yes, round-brushed). OK, there are some stains on her shirt in this pic, but sometimes that's unavoidable with this girl!
And then there's me--I'm somewhere in the middle. I dress her the way I like to dress on my days at home, Comfy! We get her hair out of her eyes, but she won't sit still for me to blow her hair dry like she does for Ga-Ga. And yes, there is the tell-tale drool on the neck of her shirt. I think it's her trademark:)
They say that it takes a village to raise a child--Boy is that true for us! I'm so thankful for Ella's "village" because I definitely couldn't do it alone.

Ella is such a sweetie.
