10 Years and Counting

On March 11, Rob and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary.
To celebrate, we went downtown to Temple Square. We had dinner at the Roof and did a temple session at the Salt Lake Temple. We had a great time. Rob ate like a king, and I felt very peaceful in the temple.
Sometimes it's hard to believe we've been together that long, but over time, I've learned a few things about myself and life in general.

10 things I've learned in 10 years of marriage
(in no particular order)

1. I will never be able to change him--If he wants to wear ugly brown Vans on his feet to a church meeting, I need to get over it.
2. Life is like a roller coaster, full of twists and turns and ups and downs---By the way, I am NOT a fan of roller coasters.
3. Spend less than you make.
4. "I love you", "I'm sorry", and "Thank you" are the 3 most important phrases one can say. I know it sounds cheesy, but I know it's true.
5. It's OK to cry in front of other people.
6. It's much easier to put on 30 pounds than take it off--I continue to learn this lesson every day.
7. Family is the most important thing in the world, even when they are driving me crazy.
8. Giving my husband guilt or hints doesn't ever motivate him. It's just easier to tell him what I want, and for that matter, tell him how I want it done.
9. Sometimes laughter is the best medicine--Well that and a cold, fresh from the fountain Dr. Pepper;)
10. I have more blessings in my life than I will ever be able to count!

Still in love after 10 crazy years
